„Gimme Some Truth” to nowa składanka z największymi przebojami Johna Lennona. Doboru tracklisty dokonały osoby zarządzające jego spuścizną. Na wydawnictwie nie zabraknie najsłynniejszych utworów w postaci „Imagine”, „Give Peace a Chance”, „Happy Christmas (War is Over)”, jak i utworów z innych albumów solowych, w tym wydanego pośmiertnie „Milk and Honey”.

John Lennon bezapelacyjnie jest jednym z najpopularniejszych i najbardziej szanowanych muzyków współczesnych czasów.
