Lars Ulrich (Metallica) otwiera box "Ride the Lightning"

Już 15 kwietnia 2016 roku z okazji tegorocznego święta niezależnych sklepów muzycznych, którego Metallica jest ambasadorem, ukażą się raz jeszcze dwie pierwsze płyty grupy: „Kill ‘Em All” i „Ride the Lightning”.

Zawierające mnóstwo dodatków pudełko z pierwszą z nich otworzył wczoraj James Hetfield. Teraz za rozpakowywanie albumu z 1984 roku wraz z dorzuconymi prezentami wziął się Lars Ulrich. Malowane winyli, skany dokumentów i zapisków, sporo zdjęć oraz plakaty – zobaczcie, co Metallica oferuje za 149,99 $.

Podczas Record Store Day (lub na oficjalnie stronie Metalliki) fani do kolekcji będą mogli dorzucić także koncert grupy z paryskiego klubu Bataclan „Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité, Metallica!”, który odbył się 11 czerwca 2003 roku. Dochód ze sprzedaży tej płyty przekazany będzie ofiarom zamachów w tym miejscu w listopadzie 2015 roku.

Tymczasem Metallica intensywnie pracuje nad nową płytą. Najprawdopodobniej wyprodukuje ją Greg Fidelman, wcześniej odpowiedzialny m.in. za „Lulu” oraz za „Repentless” Slayera i „.5: The Gray Chapter” Slipknota.
