Queen ponownie wyda swój debiutancki album. Jak zapewnia Brian May nie będzie to zwykły remaster.
Zespół Queen zapowiedział, że 25 października ukaże się nowa wersja debiutanckiego albumu, który oryginalnie ukazał się w 1973 roku. Płyta ukaże się pod tytułem „Queen I” i nie będzie typową reedycją.
Brian May mówi:
To nie jest zwykły remaster. To zupełnie nowa, odbudowana w 2024 roku wersja debiutanckiego albumu Queen, który nazwaliśmy „Queen I”. Wszystkie utwory są dokładnie takie, jak na wydaniu z 1973 roku, ale każdy instrument został odbudowany tak, żeby tworzył „żywe” przestrzenne brzmienie, jakiego nie udało nam się osiągnąć oryginalnie. Tak zabrzmiałby „Queen”, gdybyśmy wtedy mieli dzisiejszą technologię. „Queen I” to debiutancki album, o jakim zawsze marzyliśmy.
Specjalne wydanie kolekcjonerskie ukaże się na sześciu płyta CD i jednej winylowej. Znajdzie się na nim nie tylko nowa wersja oryginalnego albumu, ale także nagrania demo, wersje dla BBC i nagrania koncertowe.
